Bill Madson

After graduating with Honors from business school at UNC Chapel Hill in 2000, Bill moved to Atlanta and began a career with Marcus and Millichap, a commercial real estate brokerage firm. Initially hired as a broker’s assistant, Bill became a broker and evolved towards a focused practice of selling non-core assets for institutional real estate owners.

In 2004, Bill was hired by a client to become Acquisitions Director for Highland Equity Group, a business dedicated to single-tenant net-leased arbitrage.

Subsequent to his time at Highland Equity Group, Bill formed his own commercial real estate brokerage practice with a niche focus of buy-side representation of investors purchasing highly distressed properties.

In 2011, sensing a unique pricing opportunity in the market for commercial assets being sold by credit-oriented sellers including the FDIC, Bill formed Clifton Property Trust, LLC. The company has made 35 commercial property acquisitions since its inception.
